If you know my friend here, you will also like to know that Chad and I will be visiting the homeland...
My dear husband has surprised me with the most wonderful news. We are headed on a vacation. In a few weeks, we will hop on a plane and head over to Ochos Rios, Jamaica. I have been complaining (NOT something I do normally, ever, at all) that I needed a break or a vacation. Chad had said the same thing but NEVER did I guess that in a very short time we would be off to paradise. So I am VERY excited. What is it that they say? Jamaican me crazy? Yeah, I will also not be having my hair braided, now I can't promise Chad won't...

Weekend update
This weekend the weather was awful, for the most part. Friday, Chad went to St. Louis to visit his brothers. Aidan and I stayed home. Aidan really wanted "Donald's" for dinner, so we went to McDonalds and then to the mall. He wanted to say hi to Aunt Lizzy who was working so we stopped in for a sec. We went to Target and then over to Toys R Us. He picked up a little Nerf gun with some foam "bullets." Well technically its not even Nerf, it's from the $1 bins at the front of Target. It's been worth that $1 times ten by now!! He even knows that we don't shoot it at people, pictures or puppies LOL
Saturday the weather was the worst. Chad got home that morning and we lounged about the house. Later we got all dressed finally to go to Wal-Mart-that was our big trip for the day. We woke up Sunday to snow!? BUT we went to church, and when we got out, it was gone and about 50 degrees outside. Missouri weather is crazy!
Grandma, Grandpa and Lizzy came over for lunch after church. Chad grilled for everyone (Chad and I are on major diets). Aidan had a blast playing outside with Grandma and Grandpa. Lizzy took a nap LOL. Chad and I hit the gym for a bit. When we got back, there was a visitor at the house.
Aidan had a visit from baby Dani from a couple houses down. She is just too cute. She brought over a present from Christmas. Dani's house has a very busy schedule and with the winter, none of us came outside very often :)

Deep Thoughts
Lizzy, Aidan and I were driving last night and this is the conversation we had with Aidan:

Let's Go Fly a Kite...
...Or attempt to at least! Aidan was super excited about his kite and it was windy yesterday so he wanted to try to fly it. Well, windy is an understatement. There werel ike 40 mph gusts- which I think is technically a little off the charts to be flying a kite, a plastic Spiderman one at that, but Chad took Aidan outside anyways to try it out. There was no way that Aidan could safely hold on to the kite without being whisked away a la Mary Poppins, so Chad took control of the string.
That darn kite was like a torpedo. I came out to check on them and I kept ducking and looking up to make sure it wasn't dive-bombing for my head. The kite was all over the place. It took a nosedive onto the roof once and of course Aidan had a friggin' heart attack, but was over it as soon as the crazy, possessed kite was back in the air.
Aidan fetching the kite (please ignore the fact that he is picking his nose, LOL). We are actually making strides in the nose-picking department since at least he is passing the boogers off to his mommy instead of eating them. Yeah, gross. Boys...

This Friday my company had their annual Fountain Turn-On. Since Aidan asks me every day about the fountain on the way to Cheryl's, I figured he would like to see it. He LOVED it. I had to lie to get him to come home. Oops. It was neat. We had never been before. They had live music, clowns, and balloons. It was kind of chilly but it didn't seem to bother Aidan at all.
Cindy made such a lovely clown :)
It wouldn't have been too chilly if the darn wind would have stopped. Those poor people on the other side of the fountain, felt the full effects of the wind and water. Ha!
Like I said, Aidan didn't want to leave. He just wanted to watch the water. He kept yelling, "uh oh!" everytime a loose balloon made it to the sky.
We raced to the car since we were freezing finally and starving! Then we had our usual Friday night at Kostakis and headed home.
Aidan spent Saturday and most of Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa in JC. Chad and I spent Saturday doing stuff we have needed to get done! Well mostly, Chad cleaned while I went and got my hair done :) We had lunch at Shiloh, headed over to the Isle for some bad luck at gambling, did a little shopping, then went out to Flatbranch (sorry you missed it Luke!). It was a fun time. ESPECIALLY since I found the shoe deal of the century. Dillards had all their left over clearance shoes marked to $9.99!! Do you know why this is so awesome!?!? BECAUSE I got these:

Sunday, Chad and I went to the Heidelburg to check out the brunch buffet. We had always wanted to go over and see if it was any good, but had never made. We did, and it was good LOL. Then we did the necessary shopping at Sam's and Wal-Mart. I went to the gym, and picked up Aidan. It turned out to be a beautiful day Sunday! Aidan and I planted his seeds he got at the Fountain thing. Though, since I planted them, they will surely never grow ;) He was all excited to see his puppies again...

Our Second Home
Aidan and I got invited to join some friends at Bonkers last night. Sheesh, they are going to know our names there soon! Aidan was so excited about going to "Markers." It was really pretty out yesterday so I didn't think it would be too busy there. He had a blast playing with the boys

Jessica and Chase...look at that hair!! The boys never stopped. There were kids everywhere. Stacey and I took Wyatt, Aidan and Garrett up in the playplace to go on the slides. Aidan was a maniac, lol. He and Wyatt were throwing themselves down the slides on their bellies. So of course the mommies couldn't miss out so Stacey and I tried the belly slide. Whoa. I definitely got "slide burn" on my belly, and have a scar to prove it this morning.
Justin had Naida all over the place. He loved the games upstairs!! He was somewhere different every time I turned around!?

Sometime during the slide fun, Aidan sustained an injury. Stacey and I were waiting at the bottom of the slide for Aidan and Wyatt. They came flying down and started to head off to do it again, when Stacey said, "Is that blood?" Oh crap. I look at Aidan and he is slurping up blood in his mouth. Uh oh. It looked like he took a mighty big bite out of his lip on his way down. He didn't even notice, just kept slurping up the mouthful of blood. GROSS. So I try to stop him to check it out. He doesn't have any interest in that. He said, "It's fine Mommy. Just kiss it. It's better." It had stopped bleeding and was just puffy so off he went. Sheesh.
Aidan and Garrett were so funny to watch up in the playplace. They ditched me really quickly. You would look up and see Aidan pushing Garrett's butt up to help him to the next level of net and then the next time, Garrett would be pushing Aidan. I would hear, " 'M'ere Garrett! Help me!" or "Aidan! Come on." It was so hilarious. It's hard to see them in this picture, but this was them trying to get up to the slide level. At one point, I was trying to corral Aidan to get a drink and there were some older girls in there. I said, "can you find the little blonde boy with the green shirt?" Ha. Garrett, Gavin, Wyatt and Aidan are all blonde and were all wearing green shirts (since it was St. Patricks Day). So that was helpful!

Needless to say, I think we are Bonkered out for awhile. Though it's hard to beat that kind of entertainment for how cheap it is! It cost Aidan and I $2.50 to get in, total!? Excellent...
We left there about 6:45 and I took Aidan to Burger King since we hadn't eaten a thing yet. He was so good. We sat and he ate his chicken and french fries, which he HAD to have. We headed home about 7:30. I have never seen that kid so tired. They had already played outside all day at Cheryl's, and then we spent 2 hours at Bonkers! He was out like a light at 8:15. Mommy was pooped too! I was in bed watching my shows at 9 o'clock!!

Weekend Recap
You'd think we lived at Bonkers. Grandma and Grandpa Van Roekel came for a visit this weekend. Aidan was very excited and they kept him very busy! They went to McDonald's for breakfast each morning and soon Aidan was telling Grandpa that was his job. It was very funny. Saturday we all went to Bonkers. Grandpa and Grandma had never been there (GASP!). I think they had fun. Aidan DEFINITELY did...
I don't think Grandpa anticipated the speed of those crazy slides!!

Aidan was WORN OUT after that long day! We had lunch and went home. Aidan crashed immediately.

Aidan piled all of his big trucks on Grandpa and then climbed on top. This was a "car crash" and they needed "help!" He called Grandma to be the wrecker and clean up the mess. I don't know who thought up this game but I think he played it a LOT...
Chad, Lola and Lacy...
Chad's parents went home Sunday and my parents ended up coming over that day. Aidan was super excited to have more visitors!!

It was a great day. Grandma and I went to the mall for a quick trip. We got pizza since it was Pizza Night (Lizzy was too busy CLEANING?!!? to join us, good job Lizzy). I had some funny pics of Aidan eating his food but they also all seem to have him showing everyone what is in his mouth, and well, no one wants to see that. All in all, it was a super fun weekend and we are tired!!!
