FUN, INDEED
We had a fun weekend at the Lake this weekend. My uncle Henry and aunt Tracy and family came down, along with our friends, the Puttmanns. It was a great time. We had dinner at JJ Twigs and Aidan had lots o' time with the grandparents. THEN the weekend was capped off by an EXCELLENT trip to the mall and amazing purchases of some stellar purses!!! Behold, the massive amount of stock that Kristen and I should take in Coach. LOL Now, do not have a heart attack because the black and green bags were our current bags. The new ones are the gold and silver ones. MEGA SALE. We were STOKED LOL.
Aidan loved going on the boat, waverunner and swimming with the family.

Conversations with Aidan
Me: "What were you doing at school, buddy?"
Aidan: "Riding bikes"
Me: "Who were you riding with?"
A: "Oh, just my girlfriend. My girlfriend, Megan."
Me: "Oh, of course. Your girlfriend."
Aidan: "OH MOMMY, my heart hurts."
Me (confused as all get out): "Your heart hurts??"
Aidan: "Yes, mommy. I am very thirsty."
...after I give him Bug Juice...
Aidan: "oh that is much better. Thank you."
Also currently going on, Aidan's decision that he doesn't really need to wear pants. When he gets home from school, those are the first thing to go. Not sure why, as we all wear pants at our house...When it's time to go somewhere I tell him to get some pants on. He replies, "yeah, I need pants because Walmart will kick me out if I don't have any." Sure, buddy. We all need pants.

OUCH
So this is why I don't like to cook. That lovely shade o'red in the little circle is the beginnings of a lovely cooking injury. I was pulling something out of the oven last night when the over door closed on my arm. My lord was that painful. A whopping 450 degrees squished into my arm. So, I have been told by medical personnel that it is going to get ugly before it's better. Good thing I have Burn Jel!!!Monday, July 20, 2009
The Most Fun Place Ever
This weekend we had some of the most awesome weather! Friday night, I joined some friends at work for a lovely happy hour. My sister moved her stuff to our garage for temporary safe keeping while she moves to a new place. Saturday, we took Aidan to St. Louis to go to Six Flags. Clearly, we were not the only ones with this idea. Mark and Rebecca joined us as we braved the massive crowds.

We were in line for the Log Flume. It apparently looked way cooler than it was for Aidan. He did NOT like getting wet!

Aidan and Scooby Doo
The lines were ridiculous for even the kiddie rides!!
Aidan and his daddy
Aidan wanted Rebecca and I to join him on the VERY TINY train. It was quite a squeeze...

This ended up being Aidan's FAVORITE ride. We liked it because the line was very short.

Aidan and "the skunk." The park lady asked him if he knew his name and Aidan says, "Yeah, it's skunk." Actually, that would be Pepe Le Pew
Sunday we decided to go over to The Magic House. None of us had ever been. Oh my! That was the most fun place ever! I may have loved it more than Aidan!!
He loved the Fairy Tale area where they had all kinds of stuff to put on, climb on, make. He made his own fairy tale and climbed Jack's beanstalk

The Fire Cheese
Last night, Aidan and I were driving home from the gym and we went by to check out the new fire station they are building in our neighborhood. The fire chief happened to be there checking out the progress and Aidan was curious. I explained to him about the fire chief and what he was doing. Well, Aidan ended up being on a fire kick all night after that. He got out his fire trucks and said he was the "fire cheese." It was hilarious. My mom called and Aidan got on the phone, told her this: "Hey Mawmaw. There is a fire at our house. The fire trucks are coming." Uh yeah, any grandma wants to hear that on the phone. I am yelling in the background to tell her it is NOT A REAL FIRE. Sheesh. So anyways, the Fire Cheese and I played fire trucks all night.
Notice his rad scars and wounds on the legs from too much fun at Bonkers
LOL Aidan wanted to take pictures too. I was not impressed by the sweaty mommy in the photos, but I was totally impressed at his ability to handle a digital camera (meaning, wow, I actually showed up in the picture haha)
Hoping to get out and enjoy the awesome weather we are supposed to have all weekend!!

A weekend without photos...
Mostly just because my camera batteries died...
We had a super weekend. Friday was pretty low-key, did the normal dinner at MY favorite place ever, Kostakis :)
Saturday, Chad left super early for a golf tournament in Trenton (not New Jersey). Aidan and I had big plans for the day. We went to the store, the park, then to the mall. We went to Burger King for lunch and some play time. Mama and Pawpaw were coming up that afternoon to play so we headed home. All of us went to dinner with Lizzy and Brad, then headed to Bonkers. Aidan had so much fun. We were there for over 2 hours. He made some friends and didn't stop playing for a second. Mommy was about to die. SHE WAS TIRED. I have the shin bruises to prove how hard that place is!! mama was quite the trooper ;) Aidan and I didnt get home until after 9:30. He got to bed about 10.
Sunday, we met Lizzy for breakfast and then we were going to church, but mommy got nervous about the impending storm and possible hail damage to her new car. So yes, we chose to go home for the weather over church. I am sorry. I will pray. Aidan and I were all over the place Sunday. Chad didn't get home until after 10 that night.
I have replaced my batteries so hope to have some new pics up soon :)

Happy Birthday!
This weekend we celebrate 2 birthdays: America's and my dad's. On Saturday we took Aidan down to Jeff City to their Salute to America festival. We went last year and Aidan had a lot of fun. It was really nice out as it had rained and still was overcast. We met my parents there and Aidan had a great time on the carnival rides. This is the best pic of him I could get, every other photo he had that flag over him or my mom's face.

Some of the rides looked like they had been around quite a while. I probably rode the same ones when I was 2.
I was actually surprised at his bravery on the rides. The jet ski ride looked like a death trap. The ride went in a little circles at like 50 mph!? At first, I couldn't tell if Aidan was scared or laughing. He apparently loved it because he wanted to go again.
Yesterday, my parents came to the house for Pawpaw's birthday. We grilled and had cake. Aidan played again with Mawmaw and Pawpaw. He got a new Thomas scooter along with helmet and knee/elbow pads. He didn't want to come outside without sunglasses because it was so bright, so he is wearing a pair of mine (I couldn't find his BOY sunglasses, so yes, those are very feminine fashionable glasses)
