Big Kids Only
Last night Aidan has his "Big Kids Only" class at the hospital where we will deliver. It was a class aimed at big brothers and sisters to teach them a little about baby and what happens at the hospital. It was cute. There were some devil children that also attended this class that make me EXTREMELY thankful for my little Aidan. Lordy, I cannot count how many times Chad and I exchanged glances at the behavior of the kids and then the lack of parenting by their parents. It was annoying to say the least. BUT, Aidan had a good time and thought the hospital was pretty cool.
They had the kids "diaper" their stuffed animals...Aidan brought his T-Rex
They made birthday cards for their new babies

Each kid was given a bag with "doctor's clothes" in it and they got to put them on to go visit the post-partum floor...

Weekend Fun
This weekend the weather was really crappy. Saturday we decided that we were going to take Aidan swimming at the ARC, but then decided we would just go to the lake since the ARC would probably be packed because of the weather. Aidan was super excited to swim at the condo! He could hardly contain himself. He was excited to wear his new swimsuit and of course had to wear a surf shirt up to the pool, too...
The pics from the indoor pool are a bit fuzzy...it was pretty darn humid in there ;)
This year Aidan is tall enough to easily touch in the shallow end. He was so excited by that. He didn't need anyone's help!
He LOVED the goggles...we thought they were hilarious. They were giant on him, but he insisted!
The little swimmer and dad...
After swimming we were able to meet up with our friend Coby for dinner. Aidan was soooo worn out. He about fell asleep at the table. We headed home that night after we ate. Aidan was asleep within 10 minutes of getting in the car!
Sunday we went to church, got our hair cut and had a little birthday party for Grandma. She wasn't actually able to come up for it, but Aidan was so set on having her birthday party (her birthday is Tuesday) that we had to have a little celebration...
We hung around the house all day...it was still pretty yucky out. Our new furniture was set to be delivered today so we had to clear out what little we had in the living room to make room! My dear hubby also assisted in the "personal care" department and painted my toes for me. Not too shabby for a first-timer ;)
Today I had a doctor's appointment. Absolutely nothing interesting to report there. Chad got to go play in a golf tournament in St. Louis at St. Albans (I would like to live there!! Ha, in my dreams). Not a whole lot going on this week either. Aidan has a birthday party to go to tomorrow and Wednesday night is his little hospital class to introduce him to the baby stuff there. It should be interesting!!
Pregnancy Week 38
Weight: - 1.5 lbs from last week
Blood pressure: 122/75
Baby heart rate: 153
Nothing interesting at all to report. Having contractions, but clearly nothing that has led to anything productive
They are pretty sure we will have another "larger" baby ;)
Hmm, nothing else I can think of...BORING

Hiking, Football, Diving and Hunting...
First thing, here is a pic of me, very pregnant, at 37 weeks...I meant to add it before, but Chad had the camera
On to the weekend, like I said, we went "hiking" on Saturday at the state park. It was a BEAUTIFUL day out. The weather couldn't have been nicer. This is probably the hill-iest set of trails we could have chosen. Great planning, but it was lots of fun.
If you stayed at the bottom of the trail, there were some nice flat trails you could walk along the creek
The Rock Bridge...

On our way down from the trek UP the giant hill
If you notice the shirts I wear, you probably see this t-shirt alot. LOL there are only a select few shirts that actually fit somewhat properly at this point ;)

Look at all the stairs I climbed!! I am pretty darn proud that I didn't give birth in the middle of the woods after that!

Me and my buddy
This week we will FINALLY be getting our new living room furniture. We have been without seating for over 2 weeks (well unless you count a couple of camping chairs and Aidan's mini-recliner)! We actually still have our couch, but LORDY do we miss our recliner. Our new stuff should finally show up Friday or Saturday. We have needed new furniture for a while now...our stuff was getting pretty raggity. Examples of our "classy" living room currently:
Aidan has the best seating option in the room: his little blue recliner
Though Aidan is totally enjoying the lack of stuff in the room. On Sunday he went "diving for seals." That would be his dive gear he is sporting...Lacy was the giant shark and poor little Lola was the precious seal...
Sunday my parents came up for a BBQ. Aidan had them playing football in the backyard. If you notice Aidan's choice of footwear, it is not what I would recommend for football, but apparently Spiderman wears boots, so he needs boots too. Just didnt know that Spiderman wore COWBOY BOOTS. It was so funny. He still was quite agile in them though :)
Dogs doing what they do best...
Grandma and Aidan taking a time-out in their matching Spiderman shirts
Yesterday Chad took off for turkey hunting. He was pumped. I got the message in the morning that they got what they were looking for:
Aidan and I got home after work to a little surprise. My sink is full of water and a turkey...that had been cut up...I think OH GROSS. Aidan freaks out in utter excitement, "WHAT IS THAT!!?!?!" He thought the big ol' claws hanging over the side were the coolest thing he has ever seen. He was obsessed. That's a boy for you I guess! He even asked Chad if he could take the feet (claws?) with him to school today to show his class. Lordy, I hope I don't get a phone call that some kid has been injured with a turkey foot!

Monday
Today I have another doctor's appointment. Oh joy. We had a busy weekend at home. I have lots of pictures, but Chad stole my camera today for his big turkey hunting adventure. I will post pics tomorrow probably :) This evening my friend Jessica and I are going to a nursing class at the hospital. Jessica was kind enough to go so dear ol' Chad wouldn't have to go to a boob class for 2 hours. Jessica is having twins this summer so she was going to go anyways, might as well spare the hubbies!!
In short for the weekend, we went "hiking" (yes, a 9-month preggo went hiking, quite hilarious), had some delicious BBQ, MADE some delicious BBQ and played a bunch outside. It was really pretty out this weekend. My allergies have been attacking me at night. It has been awful. I already can't sleep being giant and then I can't breathe from the allergies. I think we will all be happier when this baby shows up already :)
There are MAYBE 7 tables inside that place, but OH MY, I had to eat my words because it was the best BBQ I have ever had. BBQ is probably our most favorite food at our house so it was quite the treat. I have a feeling we will be back there a lot!
I will have more interesting things to post tomorrow!

So Friday night we went to Harrisburg to have some super yummy BBQ. Chad had been talking about this place ever since he ate there a while back with Jimmy. I never wanted to go because I am just stubborn I guess ;) I was really craving BBQ that night and said let's go to that hole in the wall place. I never would have guessed just how "hole in the wall" we were talking...meet Lonnie Ray's BBQ:

Landscaping
We spent this lovely weekend in St. Louis. Chad needed to help Mark with some major landscaping projects. Aidan and I decided to tag along. The following pictures pretty much sum up our activity Saturday.
Rebecca kept Aidan entertained (pretty sure she was almost more excited than Aidan at her "expertise" in kite-flying)...
This was Ruthie at about noon...
Chad and Lee, hard at work...
Annie and I doing our jobs oh so well...
Still flying kites at 4 o'clock...
Sun is going down...
Aidan was so excited to see how high we was flying that kite (thanks to Rebecca)...
Here is Ruthie at 7 o'clock that evening...not much has changed :)

The hardworkers were at it until I brought some food home at 8 o'clock that evening! They were all WORN OUT. Sunday morning they did a bit more and we headed home so Chad could watch The Masters. Aidan and I picked up the house and went to Wal-Mart, and then called it day watching movies. Sunday was a lazy day for sure, but we (well Chad) definitely needed it after working all day Saturday! This week is supposed to be awesome outside, low 80s all week :)

Tons of Trucks
Yesterday was Tons of Trucks. Parks and Rec does it every year. They get all sorts of trucks from around town and they all park at one of the parks and kids get to play in them and such. Aidan loved it last time, but the weather was awful. This year, the weather could not have been better. We met Chad there after work and Aidan went to town!!
Driving the big John Deer tractor...
Some of the trucks...and the best blue sky ever
Heading to some more...the kids were allowed to honk the horns, make the sirens go, etc so it was LOUD!
Hanging out in the back of an ambulance...
In the Bobcat...
He liked this tractor a lot for some reason...
Heading over to the mules!
They had Fisheries and Wildlife (I think that is what it is called) agents there with their boat and then had some fish that you can find in the rivers. They were gross. Aidan thought they were awesome :)

Excuse me! Who is driving that truck!!!
"Hey Uncle Mark!"
No boxes to deliver in this FedEx truck
In the back of some police tanker looking thing...
Aidan had a ball. It tired me out walking around. It's a super fun event that they do every year and it's great because it is FREE!! We went home and mama went to bed :( Aidan and Dad played for the rest of the night like boys...
