Weight Check In

I am not doing a great job keeping up on HERE with my weight check-ins...but I am working on my fitness! I am down another 2.5 lbs...DOWN 9 in total from the start (which I can't remember how long ago that was, so this may not be as exciting as I thought, haha)

Swimming Field Trip!

Today, Aidan's class went on a field trip to the local swimming pool. He was excited because they got to ride the city bus again! Luckily, the pool is right next door to my office so I was able to run over for a few minutes to say hi and take some pictures! Here they are walking from the bus stop... Waiting in line patiently...Grace and Aidan (BFFs)
Everyone waiting to go in and swim!

Aidan never paid attention to me from the second they got in the water :) He was excited to see me at the bus stop, but once the water fun began, he totallyl forgot about me! He was running around like crazy! Those are some brave teachers!!
It was hard to get pictures of him because he was always somewhere different!
Attacking each other with the little water hoses...

I left pretty quickly while they were still having tons of fun. They were there for another hour or so and then were taking the bus back. What a fun time for them!

Birthday Weekend

We had a birthday party weekend for Aidan. Friday was Aidan's birthday so we had a fun night. Grandma and Grandpa Hogue and Lizzy came over. He wanted McDonalds (go figure) for dinner and opened his presents. He got a new Wii game from Grandpa and Grandma in Iowa... Lizzy and Elin during the party...I LOVE this picture, lol...
Aidan and Grandma with Aidan's bounty for the day :)
Grandma and Grandpa Hogue got him a new Spiderman video game...
From Mom and Dad, his new "hunting coat." He is so ready to go hunt with the big boys...too bad he can't officially do that for a couple years :( He is going to go sit with Daddy though this year, just to watch.
Continuing with the superheroes, Lizzy got him this awesome Thermos and lunchbox. He had that thing filled with water 5 minutes later and had to bring it in the car "in case he got thirsty"
After the celebration, we took Aidan to watch the Providence Bowl. Grandpa and Grandma stayed home with Elin so we could enjoy the game a bit longer. Aidan had a blast. He was all over the place :)

Saturday we had a BBQ and cake for his birthday. Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to stay the evening so Lizzy, Chad and I could go out for the evening. We went to a comedy show (we haven't done that in FOREVER). It was really fun. We stayed out a bit after that and then headed home. Before we went out that night, we had cake...

It was a great weekend. The kiddos were worn out come Sunday night. Nothing too exciting planned for this week. We are excited for the long weekend coming up!!!

Our Aidan is 4...

Today our Aidan turns 4. We woke him up to tell him happy birthday and he was SO EXCITED. He asked, "When am I 4? TODAY?!?!" He is such a little kid now!! We are going to go to a football game tonight with the family and then have a barbeque tomorrow. His mother, ahem, thought that 2 weeks notice at the local gymnastics facility was plenty of advance notice for a birthday party, but apparently that is a hoppin' spot so his birthday party for all his school friends is September 11. Stretchin' it out ;) Anyhoo, lots of pics follow, you have been warned...

Weekend Fun

We had a super lowkey weekend. It basically consisted of hanging around the house. Exciting, yes. Saturday we did some much need grocery-getting and then Aidan and I went on a date. He wanted to see the new Nanny McPhee movie. It was pretty cute. I actually liked it and he did too! Dad and Elin held down the fort at home while we were out. Sunday we had Lizzy over for dinner. We basically had Thanksgiving dinner :) All thanks to a Burgers Smokehouse turkey we had in the freezer. YUM. Superman testing out Elin's new Bumbo chair...
Getting ready to go to the mall for some time out of the house!

Aidan wanted to take some pictures. Not too shabby...
While Aidan and I played around with the camera, Dad was hard at work :) Good job, Chad...I am sure he will be so happy that we took a picture of him vaccuuming (let alone, put it on the Internet!)
Sunday night was spent with us watching Aidan's new favorite show, Ice Road Truckers and then Swamp People (yes, that's what it's called, people that live down in the Bayou in LA and do swamp things I guess...I saw mostly alligator hunting...). We live exciting lives, don't we?

Ready for Deer Season

Aidan was ready for hunting the other day. He was practicing with his "rainbow" in the living room...He learned his lesson from last time to be careful with that thing. He was in trouble the other evening and thought he was being funny and threw his bow up in the air, and it bonked him straight on the forehead. He had a huge goose egg, but it is now simply a lovely bruise :) Aidan was "napping" with Elin. She had no interest in napping...

What's Goin On

I have been slacking on taking pictures, but we have been very busy! We had an open house yesterday so it was major cleaning weekend! Well, actually Chad did the major major cleaning. I took the kiddies to see Grandma and Grandpa to get out of the way. Chad cleaned like a super star. Our house is sparkling :) We had a blast in JC and the kids slept like crazy when we got home Sunday.

Our realtor rocks. We had the most amazing open house. OVER 30 PEOPLE CAME THROUGH! LOL and only 8 of them were nosy neighbors. Then another realtor showed the house that afternoon. There seem to be a couple of very interested peeps so HOPEFULLY we will be homeless soon so we can start on our new house!!! Cross your fingers!

I promise to be better on my pictures soon :)

Our house is for sale. We are trying to move out of town. If you are dying to move to the best house in Columbia, you should buy my house. Ok, thanks :)

Through the Night!

Elin has slept through the night for the last two nights! HURRAY for momma! She goes down about 8:30 and usually wakes up at 3:30 to eat and then goes right back to sleep until I have to wake her up to go to Cheryl's (around 7:15). BUT, the last two nights she has gone to sleep and not woken up until 6:30 the night before last and 5:00 last night. Baby steps!!

Weekly Weigh In

Okay, I forgot to make my weigh in post yesterday since I am doing that on Mondays, but I did weigh in. So for this week we are:
-2.5 lbs
Only like a gazillion more to go!
I am using My Calorie Counter online to just watch what junk goes in my mouth. It calculates how many calories you should take in to lose a safe amount of weight each week. It's awesome and FREE

Ok, that is all!

Children's Museum

This weekend Chad's brothers came into town because they were playing in a golf tournament on Saturday. Friday night, Chad, me and Mark met Lizzy at Shakespeare's for some tasty dinner. Aidan and Elin hung out with Azure for the evening. We picked them up on the way home and had a fun night at home with Lee and Mark. Chad has a new boss and he also stopped by for a while.
Saturday morning the boys left to play golf so Aidan, Elin and I headed out for the day. We have a children's museum in town and we decided to go check it out. I knew nothing about it, but figured it couldn't be that bad! Aidan LOVED that place. It's an old farmhouse type place that they made into the museum. They have 2 floors. There is a vet room, legos room and art room on the first floor and upstair there is a train room, "house" room and grocery store and then a room for the littler kids. We were there for like 3 hours. He had a blast. The only reason we left when we did was because Elin had had enough :)
Aidan in the train room... Mom and Elin...
Playing in the train room still!
He was stoked when he saw that the dress up area had BOTH a Batman and Superman costume :) He picked Superman because it had the cape (of course!)...
Superman doing our grocery shopping...
Making me a birthday cake...
Doing some art...
When we got home, the boys were on their way back. This is how they spent the evening...Uncle Mark:

Later that night, the boys all went out back around the firepit. Aidan gets so excited anytime we start that up! Sunday, my parents and Lizzy came by for dinner and to hang out for a while. Aidan decided to go for a bike ride (in his pajamas, by the way, he doesn't wear an entire superhero outfit all day) and have Grandma chase him up and down the sidewalk!
Us smarter people stood and watched the exercise-in-the-heat-crazies! I just LOVE this pic of Lizzy and Elin. Elin's face is just so darn adorable :)
I wish she would grow some hair on top!! The back is all filled in, but she is liking the baby mullet I guess!
Grandpa and Elin...
We had a super weekend. This week is supposed to be insanely hot AGAIN, so I doubt we get outside much!
