Deer

Ooh, you THOUGHT you would get to see some sweet hunting photos from Chaddie, but no not this time. I cannot even believe I am saying this, but I have fallen in love with deer heads. On the wall. I have crossed to the dark side. Actually, it's not as bad as you may think. I love a deer head or antlers, but in a shiny white or black or bright color. I mean look at these rooms--all the photos are from DecorPad:

So now where do I go about making my deer head purchase? Clearly you won't find these snazzy fellas at Cabela's or Bass Pro. You have options. At our house we have enough antlers and deer parts to probably make our own, but I think Chad may stroke out if I start spray painting his kills.

I LOVE the head from Z. Gallerie:The SMALL head is $49.95 and the large one is $199.95. Doubt that is going to fly at my house given my decorating ADD. But then, the good Lord showed me how much he loves me. As I was making my weekly stroll through the Hobby Lobby, what did I see???? ANTLERS. Shiny black antlers. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I must have been too excited. Yes, they have a Hobby Lobby version (in black, but who doesn't love spray paint?!) for a mere $23.99 AND if you ever shop there, you know you never pay full price. It is half off currently so you pay under $13 for your rack. Sorry I couldn't resist :)

Personally, I would love some hot pink antlers in an all white and cobalt blue room. I am thinking though that we will need to antler-ize Aidan's room. He wants a hunting room. Mama wants something a little um, classier. Nothing says "classy hunter" like a shiny white rack. And I will leave you with that today :)
