Elin's Room

The color quality of these photos is ridiculous so bear with me :) When I found the headboard at Salvation Army, I also happened to spy a giant antique gold ornate frame for $5. I knew I wanted some sort of frame for Elin's monogram, but I also knew it was going to be pricey given the size I needed. Well this gold frame fit the feel and theme (if you will) of her room. Lots of linen, pinks and antique golds...The color between the monogram and frame look crazy in these photos. In real life, they are just slightly different and work amazingly! I happened to also find a night stand that matched her dresser...it was a "retro" ahem, oak-y color. Not exactly the antique white I was going for. But for $10??? SOLD. A couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk paint in white and it matched her dresser adorably. All we have left for our sweet girl is a new bed when she is ready! Good lord everything looks yellow and gross in those pics. When we get things more finished I will take GOOD photos.

I am thinking of a tufted linen headboard for Miss E... Something like this:
VIA

Whew. Almost there!!! So far? Her entire room has cost a whopping $45 for linen, lined curtain panels, $10 for the nightstand, and the dresser was mine. I already had the Annie Sloan in white. Not too shabby!!
